Awake Education is planning to open a new charter school district serving the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the Fall of 2018.
Awake Education aspires to be the model for 21st century public education. In Awake Community Schools and Academies students are fully engaged in learning in an environment that recognizes the neuroscience behind cognitive development. This means that when you walk into an Awake classroom, you might see students practicing their multiplication tables while standing up doing some form of physical movement. You might also see students drawing, painting, singing or playing a musical instrument because Awake recognizes the importance that art and music play in cognitive development.
The culture you will find in Awake Community Schools and Academies is unlike anything you will find in another public school setting. Awake strives to nurture the whole child to create capable, compassionate, confident and committed 21st century leaders for tomorrow.
